We had a Ball (Again!)

After our rousing success at last years' BYU Traditions Ball, we had to go again.  This year, I was on the hunt for a dress a lot earlier and was able to find one that fit me perfectly at a local thrift store.  With a little help from my seamstress friend, Alyssa, who cut off about a foot of the length and hemmed it for me, it was ready to go.

We had a wonderful time! The ball was held in the Gordon B. Hinckley Alumni building and it is just a stunning building.  After getting our complimentary photograph- the right one this year- we accidentally stood in line for silly photo booth pics last year for about 45 minutes and completely missed the professional ones!

So, we made sure we did that first this time, and then grabbed some h'ordeuvres and a seat by the cozy fireplace.  We had fun looking around the room, and envisioning our own dream home.  We watched improv comedy by LOL and then danced a few songs, accompanied by a live Big band.  So fun!  My darling sister-in-law and her fiancee saved us when they agreed to babysit for us, after four of our normal babysitters were already booked!  They were wonderful, and it was nice to not worry about the children.  (At all!)

On our way home, I realized we didn't have enough toilet paper at home to last us through the weekend, so we stopped by Smith's to grab some.  I sure hope that we can re-play videos of ourselves in heaven of our times on earth, because I surely want to see the footage of a formally dressed couple, walking out of the grocery store, with a large 24 double roll package as their only purchase.  It definitely put a smile on my face, thinking of how funny we must have looked!
