Family Hike to Cecret Lake or at least two of us made it there

 We were so excited to take a hike to Cecret Lake.  We didn't know it was CRAZY popular though and the only place we could park was the farther away parking lot.  Still, the guide informed us it was a 1.5 mile hike, which sounded doable. We would take turns with the baby and I figured Amalie and Gabe would be fine.  But they wanted to stop every five minutes.  It was a BEAUTIFUL hike.  We had hiked for some time, certainly over a mile when we saw a sign that said, Cecret Lake, 1.8 miles.  Could that be correct?  The guide said it was only 1.5 miles and we'd already walked a mile!

 We talked to some hikers who were coming back down and yes, indeed it was still almost 2 miles away. So, we regrouped and came up with a plan.  Amalie and Gabe were exhausted and wanting to stop every 2-3 minutes and complaining like crazy.  Noah really wanted to go on.  I took Andre and Amalie and Gabe back and we hung out at the Alta Ski Resort while Brad and Noah completed the trek to Cecret Lake.  It was beautiful and suddenly Gabe and Amalie were all smiles and had great attitudes.  I'm so glad we re-grouped and had a sweet time there.  Andre wanted to EXPLORE the ski resort cafeteria and just loved walking around while we ran after him!  What a cutie!
